North Bay Credit Union Awards $6,000 in Scholarships

Once again, North Bay Credit Union is proud to honor six exceptional local students with scholarships of $1,000 each,” says Chris Call, CEO. “These outstanding young people earned their awards by demonstrating academic excellence and a commitment to the community.”

Three of the recipients are staying in California; Marissa Pendleton, of Sebastopol, is going to Santa Rosa Junior College; Alexandra Gambonini, of Petaluma, is going to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo; and Lucas Tollini, of Sebastopol, is going to Chico State University. Headed out of state are Lola Plum, of Healdsburg, to Kansas State University; Francesca Pharo, of Sonoma, to Colorado State University; and Melanie Hanlon, of Petaluma, to Oregon State University.

North Bay Credit Union, headquartered in Santa Rosa, is celebrating its 70th anniversary and is the oldest credit union in Sonoma County. The credit union has assets of $50 million with three branches, serves 2,500 members and is regulated by the California Department of Business Oversight.
